Job Description

Psychology Teacher (IB Diploma Programme Psychology) | 2026-27 School Year develop knowledge and understanding of psychological concepts, content and contexts including models, theories, and research methodologies think critically and creatively about behaviour and cognitive processes, including the assessment of evidence and acknowledgement of the evolving nature of knowledge engage with problems facing individuals, groups and societies using psychological understanding and skills. By the end of their two-year course, students are expected to develop an Internal Assessment research proposal using one of the four research methods used in the class practicals, as well as take the rigorous DP Psychology exam. IMAGINATIVE EDUCATOR: Designs rigorous, culturally competent, student-centered courses with lesson plans that spark intellectual curiosity and a love of learning. SUBJECT PASSION: Brings a deep love for history and/or science and the ability to facilitate thought-provoking, empowering classroom discussions. GLOBALLY MINDED: Cultivates a sense of responsibility in students regarding local and global contexts. INCLUSIVE MINDSET: Promotes respect for diverse perspectives and has successful experience working with culturally diverse families. HOLISTIC SUPPORT: Well-versed in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where teenagers thrive. OPTIMISTIC LEADER: Leads with a sense of humor, flexibility, and a positive outlook on the daily challenges of high school life. COLLABORATIVE SPIRIT: Enjoys working within a vibrant school community, building strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. QUALIFICATIONS

Have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; At least 2 years of teaching experience; Excellent oral, organizational, and written communication skills; A belief in the intrinsic relationship between social-emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy.
