This is a full-time, project-based position running through June 1, 2027.

DynaMech is hiring a Junior Field Technician to support our plumbing and HVAC crews on a large-scale mechanical renovation at a local apartment complex. Across 158 units, our crews are replacing complete HVAC systems and water heaters, and you'll be right in the middle of both. No experience required. What we need is someone who works hard, shows up every day, and wants to build a real career in the trades.

This isn't a classroom. You'll learn on live jobsites alongside experienced, highly skilled technicians, doing real work from day one. You'll see more, do more, and learn faster here than you would in trade school, and you'll be paid while you do it.

What You’ll Do

• Support HVAC and plumbing technicians across all 158 apartment units
• Help remove and haul out old air handlers, condensers, and water heaters
• Stage and move new equipment and materials (heat pumps, air handlers, water heaters, expansion tanks, piping, fittings)
• Help set equipment pads, water heater stands, and drain pans
• Assist with condensate line cleanout, drain pan installs, and PVC drain routing
• Swap supply diffusers and return grills, and install new air filters
• Prep work areas and leave every unit clean and ready for the next step
• Learn installations hands-on under the direction of lead techs as you prove yourself
• Keep the job moving by anticipating what the crew needs before they ask
• Follow all SOPs, safety protocols, PPE, and OSHA requirements
• Complete CompanyCam photo and documentation workflows as assigned

• A strong work ethic. You stay busy without being told and finish what you start
• Reliable and on time, every day
• Coachable. You take direction well and want to learn the right way to do things
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, closets, and tight spaces
• Comfortable using a smartphone for jobsite documentation
• Interest in a long-term career in HVAC, plumbing, or both
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Anderson, SC

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
• Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas
• Capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, and extended standing
• Willingness to work in hot or cold conditions for 10+ hours per day
